Local MP Carla Lockhart has thanked local students Rachel Cassells, Kelly Blevins and Gracie McNally from Portadown College for making a positive impact on her office whilst engaging in work experience last week.

The DUP MP said:

"I want to express my deepest appreciation to the exceptional students from our local schools who recently joined my office for work experience. It's been inspiring to witness their enthusiasm, commitment, and eagerness to learn whilst giving them a birds-eye view of local politics and the life of an MP.

Throughout their time at the office they showed a real diligence and willingness to engage in various tasks. I am immensely grateful for the time and effort they dedicated and trust that the experiences and visits as part of the work experience programme were beneficial.

I would to thank Rachel, Kelly and Gracie for choosing to spend their time with me and for embracing this opportunity with such enthusiasm. I am confident that each pupil has a bright and successful path ahead. I wish each pupil the very best in all their future endeavours.

During their visit they had the opportunity of visiting Thompson Areoseating in Seapatrick, Banbridge where they viewed the new testing rig for their aircraft seating and witnessed first hand what a career in engineering would look like also. A big thank you to the company for their willingness to engage.”
