Carla Lockhart MP • December 12, 2023

DUP MP Carla Lockhart has thanked Avenue Road Residents Committee and Shankill Parish for hosting a very enjoyable Community Carol Service, followed by a BBQ tea for all in attendance.

The Upper Bann representative said:

"I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to the Avenue Road Residents Committee and Shankill Parish for organising a splendid community carol service.

These events are a lovely way to bring people together. The Group at Avenue Road and the Church have an unwavering commitment to bringing our community together for happy times, and it is truly admirable. I want to express my thanks to all in the group and the church for the work that has gone into organising such a successful event.

Christmas is a time to spend with family, friends and neighbours and this was certainly a good example of that. Today was so enjoyable, especially with the wonderful St Marks Band playing festive favourites. I wish everyone in Avenue Road, Shankill Parish and the wider area a very Happy Christmas.”
