Lockhart Welcomes Completion of New Footpath in Oak Grange
Upper Bann MP Carla Lockhart has welcomed the completion of a new footpath in Oak Grange, Waringstown, describing it as a positive and long awaited improvement for local residents.

The resurfacing works follow sustained representations from Ms Lockhart on behalf of residents, who had raised concerns about the condition and safety of the footpath over a number of years.
Speaking following the completion of the work, Carla Lockhart MP said:
“This stretch of footpath has been particularly problematic in recent years, so I am pleased to see it now fully resurfaced. I have been lobbying for improvements here for some time, and it is good to see that persistence delivering a tangible result for local residents.
“While the fight continues to have the remainder of the development resurfaced, this is a very welcome step forward and a well delivered piece of work. It will make a real difference to pedestrians, particularly older residents, families and those with mobility issues.
“I want to thank DFI Roads and the contractor for getting this work completed, and for responding to the concerns raised locally. I know residents are especially pleased with the outcome, and I will continue to press for further improvements, particularly the full resurfacing of Oak Grange.”
Ms Lockhart reiterated her commitment to raising local infrastructure concerns and ensuring that communities across Upper Bann see practical delivery on the ground.
