Lockhart Welcomes Launch of ‘4ever Mums’ Initiative in Lurgan

Carla Lockhart MP • March 24, 2026

Upper Bann MP, Carla Lockhart, has welcomed the launch of a new initiative aimed at supporting women and mothers in Lurgan.

The initiative, Forever Mums, has been established by local mum Jessica Riley and will provide a welcoming and supportive space for women to come together, connect and encourage one another.

Monthly gatherings will take place at Brownlow Courtyard at The Bothy, offering a relaxed environment for conversation, friendship and support.

The first event is scheduled for Thursday 2 April and will continue on a monthly basis thereafter.

Mrs Lockhart said the initiative is a positive addition to the local community and will provide valuable support for women navigating the challenges of daily life.

Commenting, Mrs Lockhart said:

“This is a fantastic initiative for women in Lurgan, particularly for mums who can often feel isolated or overwhelmed.

It is encouraging to see local people stepping forward to create spaces where women can come together, share experiences and support one another. That sense of community is so important.

I want to commend Jessica for her vision and heart to support others. Initiatives like this can make a real difference in people’s lives.

With the Easter holidays approaching, it is especially welcome that children can also attend, making it accessible for families and creating a warm, inclusive environment.

I would encourage local women to get involved and support what promises to be a very worthwhile and much-needed initiative.”

Further information is available via the 4ever Mums social media page.
