Do not miss out on compensation for vehicle damage

Carla Lockhart MP • December 20, 2023

Local MP Carla Lockhart has highlighted the compensation process offered by the Department for Infrastructure in Northern Ireland, with a number of constituents having suffered vehicle damage due to poor road conditions in recent weeks.

The DUP representative said:

“If you have experienced vehicle damage due to road surface issues, you should not be left to shoulder the financial burden alone. Your claim for compensation from the Department for Infrastructure is your right.

Faulty road surfaces not only damage vehicles but also pose serious risks to drivers and pedestrians. By reporting and claiming compensation, you are actually helping me and many others who engage with DfI to make the case for swifter and more substantial road repairs. The Department for Infrastructure has a duty to maintain safe roads, and your claim holds them accountable..

The process might seem complex and not worth the hassle, but there are resources available to support your claim. My office is here to help anyone to navigate the system and increase the chances of a successful claim.

If we can help, please get in touch.”

April is recognised across the UK as the Month of the Military Child – a time to honour the incredible strength, resilience and sacrifice of children whose parents serve in the Armed Forces. While the initiative is officially marked on 25th April in England and Wales, there is currently no formally designated date in Northern Ireland.
