Progress Continues on Slippery Pavements in Waringstown
Upper Bann MP Carla Lockhart has welcomed progress towards addressing the slipperiness of the new pavements in Waringstown, following multiple reports of slips, trips, and falls from concerned residents.

Carla Lockhart MP said:
"Since the new pavements were installed, I have been contacted by many local people who have experienced or witnessed falls due to their slippery surface. This is a serious safety issue, and I have been working closely with the Council, alongside Cllr Mark Baxter and Cllr Paul Greenfield, to push for a permanent solution.
I am pleased that progress is being made, with discussions ongoing to find a long-term fix. In the meantime, I appreciate that the Council has taken steps to keep the pavements cleaner, which has already improved grip and reduced the immediate risk to pedestrians.
Ensuring our public spaces are safe for everyone is a priority, and I will continue to keep this issue high on the agenda until a suitable, lasting solution is delivered. I want to thank the Council for their engagement so far, and I will provide further updates as developments continue."
