Lockhart Welcomes Lisa Partridge’s Appointment to Support UDR Benevolent Fund

Carla Lockhart MP • February 25, 2026

Upper Bann MP Carla Lockhart has welcomed the recent appointment of local woman Lisa Partridge to support and promote the work of the UDR Benevolent Fund.

Speaking on the issue, Carla Lockhart MP said:

“It was really lovely to meet local girl Lisa Partridge following her recent appointment to help support and promote the work of the UDR Benevolent Fund.

Many people will know Lisa from her role on Carleton Street, and I have no doubt she will bring the same commitment and energy to this important position.

Lisa’s focus is on ensuring that those who served in the Ulster Defence Regiment, and their families, are fully aware that the Fund exists and that support is available to them. Too often, veterans and families struggle quietly without realising that help is there.

The UDR Benevolent Fund provides vital assistance to former members of the Regiment and their loved ones, offering practical support when it is needed most. That can include welfare advice, help with benefits, assistance with health-related needs, financial support during difficult periods and respite care.

It is important that we continue to honour those who served and ensure they are properly supported. Raising awareness of the Fund and connecting people with the assistance they deserve is a very worthwhile mission.

I would encourage anyone who believes they or someone they know could benefit from support to reach out. The Fund is there to help.”

“I wish Lisa every success in her new role.”

For further information, the UDR Benevolent Fund can be contacted on 07720 677 838 or by email at info@udrbenfund.org.uk.
