Upper Bann MP, Carla Lockhart, has paid tribute to Rachel McDowell and all involved in a heartfelt and successful Coffee Morning held in Blackskull Orange Hall, raising vital funds for Prostate Cancer UK.

The event, brought people together to support a cause that is deeply personal to organiser Rachel McDowell. The Coffee Morning is just one part of Rachel’s remarkable efforts to raise awareness and funds, as she also prepares to take on an incredible 104-mile ultra marathon this May.

Speaking after attending the event, Carla Lockhart MP said:

“It was a real privilege to support the lovely Rachel McDowell at her fantastic Coffee Morning in aid of Prostate Cancer UK. It was a brilliant event and so well supported by the local community.”

“This is an issue that is very close to Rachel’s heart, and I know how much it means to her to help raise awareness and support research. I want to pay tribute to her courage, her heart, and her determination to make a difference. Her upcoming 104-mile ultra marathon is an incredible challenge, and I wish her every blessing and success as she takes it on.”

“Cancer is a thief – it robs families of loved ones, destroys homes, and leaves so much heartache in its wake. That’s why events like this matter so much. Together, we must do all we can to fight back against it, support those going through it, and fund the research that will one day find a cure.”
