Carla Lockhart MP Praises Donaghcloney Elim Church for its Growing Christian Witness

Carla Lockhart MP • April 2, 2025

Carla Lockhart, MP for Upper Bann, has commended Donaghcloney Elim Church for its unwavering Christian witness and commitment to sharing the Gospel, as the church moves forward with plans for an extension. Speaking after attending a recent coffee morning, she highlighted the church’s growth as a sign of God’s blessing on the congregation.

Carla Lockhart MP said:

"It was a joy to spend time with the wonderful congregation at Donaghcloney Elim Church during their spring coffee morning. The warmth of welcome, the fellowship, and the strong sense of faith within this church family was a real blessing.

"I want to express my deep appreciation for Pastor Phil and the leadership team for their dedication to spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ in Donaghcloney and beyond. Their faithful service is a blessing to so many, and it is encouraging to see the church growing as a result.

"As they embark on this exciting journey of expanding their church building, it is a reflection of the growing impact of their ministry. This extension is not just about bricks and mortar—it is about making space for more lives to be transformed by the power of the Gospel. I have no doubt that God will continue to do great things through this church, and I pray for His continued guidance and provision for the congregation."

"The Christian church remains a vital part of our communities, offering hope, encouragement, and a place of belonging. Donaghcloney Elim is a shining example of this, and I look forward to seeing their continued growth in faith and witness in the years ahead. It was lovely to be joined by Cllr Mark Baxter and Cllr Tim McClelland.”
