Resurfacing Works Begin at Mill Hill
Upper Bann MP, Carla Lockhart has welcomed the commencement of long-awaited resurfacing works on Mill Hill, Waringstown, following sustained lobbying efforts on behalf of local residents.

The Department for Infrastructure has now begun essential works to improve the stretch of road between the B2 and A26 an area frequently raised by the community due to deteriorating road conditions. The works are scheduled to take place from Monday 28th July to Friday 1st August 2025, with daily closures from 9:30am to 4:30pm.
Speaking following confirmation of the works, Carla Lockhart MP said:
“After months of consistent lobbying and pressure, I am delighted that the Department for Infrastructure is finally investing in this much-needed resurfacing project along Mill Hill in Waringstown.
This has been a long-running issue that I’ve raised repeatedly, and I’m pleased to see tangible action being taken. It may seem like a small stretch of road, but for the people who live and travel here daily, this improvement makes a real difference.
I firmly believe that good governance starts with getting the basics right and that means fixing our roads. This is a small but important win for Upper Bann, and I will continue to push for similar investment right across our constituency.
Thank you to all the residents and local businesses who supported the campaign and helped keep the pressure on. Let’s keep working together for real delivery.”
