Blue badge can help those living with disability

Carla Lockhart MP • January 3, 2024

DUP MP Carla Lockhart has encouraged those living with a disability to avail of the blue badge scheme, that allows badge holders to park closer to their destination. The MP is offering assistance through her office to complete the form to apply.

Carla Lockhart said:

“The daily challenge of living with a disability is one that is lived with by thousands of people across Upper Bann. It brings with it problems that can be alleviated with the right support in place.

One such mitigation is the use of a blue badge. The blue badge allows people with the badge to park closer to their destination, helping to make a journey many of us take for granted so much easier for those with a disability or serious health condition. It can be transformational in terms of mobility.

My office can assist with the application process and we would love to help people avail of this scheme. If you believe you may be eligible, please contact my office on 02838 310088 and we will arrange an appointment to complete the forms.”
