Upper Bann MP Carla Lockhart has issued a public call for members of the community to respond to the public consultation in relation to the future of Loughbrickland Post Office. Post Office are proposing to move the current Loughbrickland Post Office to a new location at Spar, Beckett’s Loughbrickland, 9 Main Street, Loughbrickland, BT32 3NQ.

Commenting, Carla Lockhart said:

“The current Postmaster has resigned and the premises will no longer be available for Post Office use. However, a new agent has been identified and they intend to relocate this Post Office to their newly refurbished retail premises nearby, which would incorporate the Post Office, subject to consultation.

As your representative, I urge everyone in the community to actively participate in the consultation regarding the proposed relocation of Loughbrickland Post Office.

Your valuable input will shape this decision, ensuring local services align with the needs of the Loughbrickland community. Let your voices be heard to ensure a positive outcome for all, and ensure the future of this vital service is in line with the wishes of the community.”
