Upper Bann MP Carla Lockhart has thanked the community for their support and kindness towards local charities, following a series of three “sit-out” events in Banbridge, Lurgan and Portadown.

Carla Lockhart said:

“I am truly humbled by the goodwill and kindness of the public who popped along to say hello and donate at my sit out fundraisers in recent weeks.

Whether it was in Banbridge, Lurgan or Portadown, people can along to support a range of local charities this Christmas. These are difficult days for many households and money is tight, but even so people donated generously. I say from the bottom of my heart thank you to each and every one.

As I now pass these donations of to my chosen charities I know this financial support will transform the work these organisations do in our community.

This season of goodwill is certainly to be seen in Upper Bann and it is testament to the people of this area that such a healthy sum has been raised.”
