MP ENJOYS DEBATE AND DISCUSSION WITH BANBRIDGE HIGH SCHOOL YEAR 11 CLASS

Carla Lockhart MP • February 27, 2024

Upper Bann MP, Carla Lockhart has joined Banbridge High School Year 11 Public Services class to talk about all things Government and to debate some hot topics on uniforms, school times, holidays, littering, sports provision and lots more.

Speaking following the event Carla Lockhart MP said, “it is always a pleasure to engage with young people and hear about the issues impacting them.  It is important that we never detach ourselves from the generation to come and to ensure that we are aware and taking on board their views and opinions.

Ms Green kindly invited me to talk about my role as MP and my political journey.  It was a superb morning with great discussion on all things education, sports and community.  An exemplary class and one that I have no doubt will continue to excel in their studies.  I even think there may well be some budding politicians in the midst.”
