MP congratulates Carrick PS on ‘Outstandingly Happy School’ status

Carla Lockhart MP • April 4, 2023

Upper Bann MP Carla Lockhart has congratulated Carrick Primary School in Lurgan on being awarded a ‘Outstandingly Happy School’ award, and paid tribute to the staff and pupils for making the accolade possible.

Carla Lockhart said:

“I was absolutely delighted to learn that Carrick Primary School in Lurgan has been deemed a ‘Outstandingly Happy School’. It is a wholly appropriate award, and a credit to the entire staff and the pupils that this has been achieved.

The school goes above and beyond to make the school a welcoming, happy and productive environment for all. From the moment pupils arrive for school in the morning, through to the moment they leave the range of after school activities, the focus is on making kids happy to be at school. For those with worries, the school goes the extra mile to lift these worries off the children’s shoulders.

My congratulations go to everyone who makes Carrick Primary ‘Outstandingly Happy’. A happy environment is a productive environment, and it is clear this reflects in the performance of pupils attending Carrick Primary.”
