Lockhart welcomes start date for Gilford Play Park
Upper Bann MP Carla Lockhart has welcomed confirmation that works to build a new play park in Gilford will start on 6th March. Alongside local Councillors Paul Greenfield and Ian Wilson, the DUP MP has been championing the need for the play park for some time.

Carla Lockhart said:
“This is very welcome news, with a start date for work to commence now confirmed as 6th March.
A new play park for Gilford has been a priority for Paul, Ian and I and we have been engaging with the Council officer team to make the case for this investment, and stressing the range of benefits it will bring to the local community. We want our kids to be active and healthy, and the provision of modern play facilities is vital in achieving this outcome.
I want to thank the Council for agreeing to this investment. It is an exciting development for Gilford, and I know when the park is completed it will be extensively used by local children and families.”
