Lockhart launches Schools Funding Directory

Carla Lockhart MP • January 9, 2023

Upper Bann MP Carla Lockhart has urged local schools, PTAs, youth organisations and uniformed organisations to avail of the latest funding directory she has published, aimed at supporting these groups to secure funding.

Launching the directory, Carla Lockhart said:

“I am delighted to present this funding directory, outlining a snapshot of some funding opportunities that are available to schools. Many of the funds outlined also offer excellent opportunities for a range of other youth organisations, such as Scout groups, BB’s and GB’s, as well as other youth organisations.

Over recent years the number of schools approaching my office seeking help with funding has increased. It has been great that funding has been secured to help a number of local schools with small capital improvement schemes, and the hosting of events that benefit the school community and wider community, amongst other projects.

I would encourage anyone wishing to explore funding to get in touch with my office to obtain this directory. My office can also help advise with applications.

These are challenging times for schools. I am hopeful this directory will help schools meet at least some of the challenges faced.”
