Lockhart congratulates Downshire Guiding Star FB on successful parade
DUP MP Carla Lockhart joined thousands of spectators in Banbridge on Friday night for the annual Downshire Guiding Star Flute Band Parade.

Speaking after attending the parade, the Upper Bann representative said:
“This is now one of the largest band parades across Northern Ireland, and it is a credit to the band that the event is so successful. Bands travel from right across Northern Ireland to take part, and also to repay the support given to them by Downshire Guiding Star Flute Band at their parades.
It was great to see the streets of Banbridge lined with thousands of spectators on a glorious evening of sunshine. Everyone was in good spirits, enjoying the superb standard of music on display and the colour and pageantry of the event.
These parades take a huge amount of organisation so my thanks go to all those in the band who made tonight so successful. I know like many others next years parade is already in the diary and eagerly anticipated.”
