GLO scheme making a difference

Local MP Carla Lockhart has congratulated young people working as part of the GLO scheme, a faith based initiative by Emmanuel Church, High Street Methodist and Shankill Parish in Lurgan.
The DUP representative said:
“GLO is a fantastic scheme, and it is really a credit to all the young people involved that they are making such a practical difference in their local community.
It is really noticeable the work that has been undertaken. This has included weeding, gardening, painting and engaging with local people in a range of ways. This helps improve the local area, but also is a great experience for the young people involved.
I want to commend the churches for taking forward this scheme and for wanting to make such a practical difference in the Lurgan area. Pastor Mark continues to show his heart for the community and I look forward to future GLO initiatives in the future.”
