End in sight for Birchwood Manor residents as resurfacing scheduled
DUP MP Carla Lockhart has welcomed the news that after a 15 year wait, residents of Birchwood Manor are to finally see their development resurfaced.

Carla Lockhart said:
“People spend huge sums of money on their homes, and in return it is only right and fair that the roads and pavements that lead to those homes are completed to a standard that is acceptable.
For 15 years that has not been the case for residents of Birchwood Manor. They have had to endure terrible roads and pavements, but now the end is in sight as the developer has now agreed to finish the surfacing.
5 years ago I committed to residents that I would work tirelessly on this matter until a satisfactory outcome was secured. That is now the case, with resurfacing scheduled to be completed in September.
This has taken considerable work between the developer, NI Water and DfI but a positive outcome has been secured. It is important that phase 2, which involves the replacement of the pumping station, is also completed as soon as possible. I will continue to work on these issues.”
