DUP MP Secures Repairs For Key Route To Waringstown

DUP MP Carla Lockhart welcomed progress on the road repair between Lurgan and Waringstown. After fielding concerns from constituents about a significant dip in the road, Carla (alongside local DUP councillors Mark Baxer, Tim McCelland and Paul Rankin), facilitated action by the Department for Infrastructure (DFI), which has now assessed the issue and have initiated plans for repair.

Carla Lockhart remarked, "I'm delighted with the response to improve this road and to remove the dip. Maintaining our roads ensures community safety, and I will keep the public informed as repairs proceed."

However, she has warned that this reversal, while significant, does not go far enough in addressing the wider issues around energy support for older people.
