Banbridge plays host to hockey’s finest

DUP MP Carla Lockhart has congratulated Banbridge Hockey club for being selected to host EuroHockey Club Championships 2023 games this weekend, as she joined Club representatives at the tournament this weekend.
The local representative said:
“Banbridge Hockey Club is a hugely ambitious and progressive club, and it is due recognition of the facilities here that the EuroHockey Club Championships 2023 are being hosted in Banbridge this weekend.
It is wonderful to see team visiting from across Europe, showcasing the best clubs in hockey to a local and a visiting audience of spectators. The Club has shown it has the capability of hosting this significant event and I know further events will surely follow upon this success.
Congratulations to all the organisers and to the Committee of Banbridge Hockey Club for securing this event and for being superb hosts to our visitors to Upper Bann.”
