65 Years of Girlguiding Waringstown is Celebrated
Carla Lockhart MP for Upper Bann, has praised the wonderful legacy of Girlguiding Waringstown as she joined past and present members at a special 65th Anniversary Exhibition in Brownlow House, Lurgan, on Saturday past.

The event was a fantastic opportunity to reflect on six and a half decades of dedication, adventure, and community impact, with displays showcasing the rich history of Girlguiding in Waringstown and the positive influence it has had on generations of young women.
Speaking following the event Carla Lockhart MP said;
“It was a real privilege to attend this special exhibition and mark such a significant milestone for Girlguiding Waringstown. Over the past 65 years, this organisation has played a vital role in shaping young girls into strong, confident women, equipping them with lifelong skills and friendships.
“The dedication of the leaders—past and present—has been truly inspiring. Their commitment to providing a safe, fun, and empowering environment for girls in Waringstown and beyond is something to be celebrated.
“It was wonderful to see so many familiar faces, share memories, and look forward to what the future holds for Girlguiding in our community. I want to thank everyone involved for organising such a fantastic exhibition and for their ongoing work in inspiring the next generation of young women.”
